#RalphRuns50…and then the One (Fund)

Thank you to everyone who donated to The One Fund Boston!  Thanks to the generosity of people from all over the country, the One Fund Boston Marathon Team was able to surpass their fundraising goal!  At the end of 2014, The One Fund was able to make another set of payments to survivors of the 2013 Boston Marathon tragedy.  Please take some time to read about the distribution of funds!

I RAN for The One Fund Boston in 2014:

I’ve been telling my friends that my new lucky number is 50. In September I finished probably one of the longest goals I had ever set, to run a marathon in all 50 states.  It took six years and a very understanding and patient wife.  On January 10th, 2014, I was picked to be one of the 50 team members to run the 2014 Boston Marathon for the ONE FUND.   (I also tell people that I will turn 50 in July.)

2014 was the second time I ran the Boston Marathon, but I knew from the start that it would all be different the second time around.  In 2014, running the marathon will be the easy part.  Just the information from the kick off meeting with the employees of Marathon Sports telling what they saw that day was surreal.  Just image how the people injured that day and their families are affected every day and night.

Feel free to take a read over my thoughts after running Boston 2014.

The 2014 Boston Marathon was the first anniversary of the Marathon Bombing and I was, and still am, honored to be one of the fifty ONE FUND runners.  Thank you again to everyone who supported me in this great cause!
