Online Silent Auction
Auction items to support The One Fund Boston through the 2014 Boston Marathon Fundraising Team will be placed for public, silent auction on the RalphRuns50 Facebook page. Auction items may include Boston sports team tickets or other items that are provided through donations to assist with fundraising efforts. Below are rules and regulations for posting bids on the Facebook page. All auction decisions are completed by the RalphRuns50 page administrators and are final.
Photo Album:
- All items available for bid will be placed in the photo album listed “Auction Items Benefitting The One Fund Boston”
- A photograph of each auction item with full descriptions will be provided with individual posts inside the photo album
- Items may be added to the photo album at any time during the auction period
- Items are distributed “as is” – changes or exchanges are not permitted
Minimum Bids & Minimum Raise:
- Minimum bid and minimum raise will be set for each item by auction administrators
- Bids must start at the minimum bid
- Minimum raises will be set per auction item
- Bids below the minimum raise amount will not be accepted and will be deleted
Buy-Out Bids!
- Some auction items will be available for “buy-out”
- Buy out indicates that if a certain bid is posted, the item will be bought outright and the item will be taken down from public auction
- Buy out prices will be posted when auction items are posted
- When a bidder places a buy-out bid, they will be notified via Facebook message or email and will have 24 hours to post payment on the Crowdrise fundraising page
- If payment is not posted within 24 hours, the item will remain open for public auction
Auction Deadline:
- The deadline for most auction items will begin at 7:59.59 PM EST on Monday, April 14, 2014
- Deadlines will be staggered, and final deadline will be posted on each item
- Alternative deadlines may be posted for some items (e.g., sport tickets for upcoming games)
- When the deadline is reached, auction administrators will post “Item Closed” and the highest bid before that post will be the winner
- Deadline is final as listed and bids submitted after the deadline will not be accepted
- Determinations of winners are final
- Auction deadlines will not apply if the item is “bought out” before the deadline date and time
Notifications:
- Winners will be publicly listed on the RalphRuns50 Facebook page, blog, and/or Crowdrise Fundraising page
- Notifications will be made by Tuesday, April 15, 2014
- Winners will be notified via Facebook message and/or email
- If you think you will not be available via phone or email for notification, please send alternative contact information to ralphruns50@gmail.com
Responsibility of Winners:
- After notification, winners must submit payment within 24 hours
- Winners may submit payment directly on the Crowdrise fundraising page

- After submitting payment – winners email ralphruns50@gmail.com to confirm payment
- If unable to submit payment online, contact ralphruns50@gmail.com to arrange payment via cashier’s check or cash. Personal checks will not be accepted for auction items
- If payments are not received within 24 hours of notification, prize will be forfeited and moved to the next highest bidder
Receiving Products/Items:
- Auction items will be available for pick-up or will be mailed via FedEx (or other mail that permits tracking of packages) within 48 hours of submitting payment
Additional Considerations:
- Auction item payments will not be included for individual donation incentives
- Bidding is only available on Facebook
